Girl #2 Website

It was great working with Producer/Director David Jeffrey on designing and implementing the website for his Horror / Surprise Ending short Girl #2. The site, which went live today, features animated banners that utilize effected frame sequences from the film, integrated social media posts to Facebook and Twitter, and an HD trailer playable on the site.

Girl #2 is currently making its way through the film festival circuit, having been shown at the "Dances With Film" Festival in Los Angeles and the Nashville Film Festival where it had its World Premiere. Girl #2 is currently slated to be screened at the Chicago Horror Film Festival and the Hollyshorts Film Festival in Hollywood.

Good Luck, David!

You can check out the "Girl #2" site here and you can check out the trailer here.

Rise above the Crowd

Charity Event Fundraising on Crowdrise

If you've ever thought to yourself "I would like to give back somehow, but I just don't know what deserves my cash money", then this is your lucky day. Crowdrise is a wonderful site (in the kickstarter vein) that presents a dazzling array of needful and worthwhile fundraising projects from all over the world, or just in your backyard.  For instance, I just threw some cash at UNICEF's Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. You can earn Crowdrise Impact Points too, good for stuff you can wear, write on, or eat. There's even an invisible medalion. Here's mine right here. Click on the logo to the left and feel good about yourself.  Oh, and check out the napkin pics.

"The Demon Files" Reality TV

I'm excited to start work on a new reality show (now in production all across the United States) currently titled "The Demon Files" which I have just signed up for.  I will be responsible for creating the show open, including it's title logo, motion graphic design, and editorial.  I am also tasked with creating the show's bumpers, transitions, and perhaps most interestingly, the visual effects for the show's re-creatiions of demonic sightings, ghost hauntings and "Shadow people" reported by the show's subjects.  Stay tuned!

Anti News "Saturn's Rings" Parody (Full Episode)

I created this visual effect shot for a friend's parody newscast, the Anti News dealing with the until-recently top secret information that Saturn's rings are made of Earth's garbage (this portion starts at approximately 01:41).  Originally, I was just going to use Cassini spacecraft imagery for Saturn, but the snap-zoom into the rings wasn't good enough, so I created a 3D Saturn to make the zoom transition better (This is an update from the previous post showing the graphic in context to the episode).

Re-Designed and Updated Website!

WebsiteHeader_cropped.jpg

Hey, Lets' Face it...

Designers love to design.  That's just one reason why this site has been completely re-designed and overhauled.   Now, the freshest content is right up front.  A mini-gallery has been added to the home page so you can see featured work right away.  And if you've been here before, there's lots of new things to see - like the new storyboard page.

I've also migrated the site to the new Squarespace 6 hosting engine that will automatically display the site better on your mobile device, for those of you on the run.

Take some time to explore (there's lots of stuff to look at!) and please keep me in mind if you have creative content needs including, movie advertising creative, entertainment graphics, feature film titles or other title design needs, visual effects or corporate media.  No job is too small!  Cheers!

Final Composite with the 3D Colonial-Era Virtual Set

Final Composite with the 3D Colonial-Era Virtual Set

An example of a virtual set that I researched, designed and created in 3D for the Disney/Kelloggs/Got Milk? collaborative online web series, Cereality; The History of Breakfast.  Each episode took place in a different era and took on a particular problem that certain periods in history struggled through in getting a good breakfast.  It was a comedy, of course.  I also tracked and color matched the green screen plates with the actors into these scenes.

"Saturn's Rings" Newscast Parody Graphic

A visual effect shot (VFX) I created for a friend's parody newscast, the Anti-News dealing with the until-recently top secret information that Saturn's rings are made of Earth's garbage.  Originally, I was just going to use Cassini spacecraft imagery for Saturn, but the snap-zoom into the rings wasn't good enough, so I created a 3D Saturn to make the zoom transition better.
